Zoomorphica explores artistic representation as a language between reality and imagination, where zoological observation meets zoomorphic invention. Alongside scientifically accurate depictions of animal forms, the exhibition embraces hybrid and symbolic creatures rooted in myth, tradition, and human cultural imagination.

In this vision, animals become carriers of deeper meanings: symbols of rebirth, transformation, sacrifice, and spiritual renewal. From the phoenix-like ibis to mythological hybrids such as the hippocampus, each figure reflects the dialogue between natural history, symbolism, and art history.

Presented in Sansepolcro at the Museo Civico Piero della Francesca, the exhibition unfolds in dialogue with masterpieces of the Italian Renaissance, including works by Piero della Francesca, creating a layered journey between past and present, science and myth, observation and invention.

Through ink drawings rich in detail and references, Arianna Fioratti Loreto reinterprets both iconic and ordinary animals, revealing unexpected meanings and connections across cultures, eras, and artistic traditions.
